Explore our native projects here, handled from start to finish with our very own roster of talented professionals across all departments, from planning and direction, to editing and colour grading.
When working with Dot Films, our collaboration can begin at any phase of your project. Within the pre-production phase, we’ll take on the primary planning for your shoots, using our expertise of local regulation, manpower, and shift work in India to get you the best results.
This depends on how remote our shooting location is. It’s entirely possible in major cities, but our options are more limited in smaller towns, villages, or outdoor locations.
If you’re unsure if we’ll be able to help, why not get in touch with the team today? We’d be happy to chat through your plans and how we can help.
Among other things, you’ll need a couple of permits to begin producing your film in India. Overall permission will be provided first, and then you can apply for specific location permits. If you plan on filming at important sites or monuments, you’ll also need separate permission for this.
You can find out more about the permits you need to film in India in our blog: Do you need a permit to film in India?
Ideally, your crew members should enter India with work visas, and we recommend this for a smooth production. However, depending on the scale of the project, there may possibly be exceptions to this. If you’d like more clarity before moving forward with your project, get in touch with the Dot Films team today.
Yes! We can assist in casting local talent, using our expertise to find the right people for your project. Should your cast also require international or diverse talent, we can arrange this as well.
Yes! Here at Dot Films, we work with a network of highly talented and experienced professionals across multiple departments. A lot of this network is English-speaking too, so you can be sure that your creative vision won’t be lost in translation.
There are some regulations you’ll need to follow, especially if you’re planning on showing your film in India after it’s complete. For example, your film cannot depict criminal acts or contain scenes degrading women.
We’ve written more about the Indian film regulations in another one of our blogs here, but you can also get in touch with the team at Dot Films to find out more about how we can help you meet requirements through our production service.
Of course we can! We’ve helped scout and secure locations for a number of our earlier projects and it’s one of our favourite things to do.
