domestic violence often thrives in silence. femisphere is an attempt to create a loud crash—to pierce through and draw attention to it. while the film was originally conceived as a graduation project by director Florian Reittner, who was studying at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg Germany, it quickly grew beyond its academic roots into something that made a much larger statement. it found deeper purpose, crossing time zones to establish a steady current in India—the country that first sparked the idea for Florian.

an executional chimera, and a test and investment of our own abilities, values, and Florian's conviction to create a compelling portrait of a very real issue—this is bigger than a film for us, and for everyone else who poured their heart and time into this crowning piece of craft.
